Objectophilia: Sex with Objects

Is there love towards laptops or sex with steam aggregates? Everything is possible in this wild world. For more than twenty years doctors have been trying to reveal the reasons of strange sexual need of objecjectophils, i.e those who have strong feelings and great sexual desire towards objects that have nothing to do with sex and relationships.

41 year old Joahim, citizen of Germany, realized that he had quite “peculiar” sexual orientation being a teenager. You will never guess whom the man has been dating for more than twenty years. His lover is....a steam locomotive. Once a week Joahim has sex with his lover and he finds it much more enjoyable than sex with a woman. “You can be absolutely sincere and open with an object and you can feel free, as free as you will never be with a human partner” - says Joahim.

35 year old student Bill Rifka passionately loves his laptop. He says that his Macintosh is a male for him and he has homosexual relationships with it.

41-year-old Doro, as well as Bill Rifka has a homoerotic inclination for an object. This woman fell in love with a metal processing machine. She saw it at work and immediately sensed great sexual desire. Since that moment the machine has been enticing Doro with it sweet hum.

Doro misses her “sweetie” much, so when being home she takes out a component or a model of her beloved machine. She compares the model to a fax machine that conveys her feelings to her beloved.

Murdered Beloveds

Some people have passion for immovable objects, and even marry them.

The metal miniature has a considerable advantage: it does not rust when Sandy plays with it in the bath tube.

Sandy says she loves objects and only objects and she cannot imagine love with a human being. Though having quite a strange sexual orientation Sandy is not a loner as she is a member of a circle of like-minded people in Germany.

Objectum-sexuals are often confused with fetishists, but these are completely different people. For a fetishist a car or another object can become a fetish that is used to put himself in the limelight. A objectophil has absolutely different attitude towards his beloved object. For him the object itself is a desired sexual partner that is the center of his sexual fantasies and emotions.

Volkmar Sigusch, the former director of Frankfurt University's Institute for Sexual Science views objectophilia as a proof of the fact that humans more and more tend to be asexual. More and more people openly declare they can live without trusting relationships with anyone, the professor says.

Sigusch does not call objectophilia a pathology, as objectum-sexuals are not hurting anyone, they are not abusing or traumatizing people, who else could be said that about?
