Doctor Had Sex with Patient?s Wife

A man, whose identity is witheld, has told how his family doctor to whom he complained about sexual problems was having sex with his wife.

The distraught husband told the Victorian Medical Practitioners Board that the doctor, whose name is Gregory James Wilks, began having sexual relationships with his wife a few months after he helped to deliver the couple’s first child in March 2004.

In quite a short time after the affair began, the woman’s husband visited Dr Wilk’s Wantirna South surgery with complaints about sexual imblance problems and seeked help in reducing his libido. Dr Wilkins is suspected of having told his new lover (the patient’s wife) about her husband’s intimate problems and complaints.

The husband said he threw up when he was told that quite a short time before this visit his wife and Dr Wilk had sex on that desk.

Though the spouses got divorced in 2005, the husband is still seeking for medical help to deal with anger issues.

The man says that dealing with the end of the marriage was very hard for him and he is very much hurt by the fact that his wife had cheated on him with a person who was involved in such intimate moments as the birth of his son.

The doctor now faces five allegations of unprofessional conduct, that include having sex with a woman whom he was still treating and whose husband was also his patient.

Three other women patients said to the board that Dr.Wilks had made inappropriate sex comments to them.

One of the women says that the doctor failed to provide privacy while she undressed for an examination. Also she says that the doctor failed to explain the reasons for the internal examination.

Now Dr. Wilks faces possible deregistration.
