Girl Prisoner Demands a Sex Toy

A prisoned girl who suffers from sexual abstinence is demanding to be given a Rampant Rabbit vibrator. The girl is even going to sue jail chiefs in the European Court of Human Rights if she does not get a sex toy that will help her to cope with frustration, according to a prison source.

The woman says she is a real sex addict and she does need something that would help her to deal with sexual abstinence. Prisoners are allowed to use electric shavers, so why cannot they use vibrators? - she wonders.

The woman, whose name has not been made public complained to Brian Ritchie, governor at Send prison, Woking, Surrey that ban on use of sex toys in prisons is discrimination against straight prisoners. Also the woman together with one of her inmates complains that needs of sex addicts are neglected in prisons, whereas other kind of addicts do get help. Drug addicts get medical help, smokers get cigarrets, so why cannot those who get frustrated being deprived of sex get a harmless dildo or a vibrator for sexual stimulation?

A Prison Service spokesman says that prisons have a range of support systems to treat addiction, and individual prisoners do not have the right to determine their own course of treatment.

According to the spokesman items that are permitted in prisons are left to the governor's discretion. The decision depends on whether an item is likely to be a problem for good discipline and order.
