Feminists Have More Satisfactory Sex

Feminists and their partners have better sex, a new study suggests.

Psychologists Laurie Rudman and Julie Phelan carried out a survey of 242 college students and 289 older adults who had an average age of 26. The survey has shown that most couples where the female partner is a feminist have better sex and more romantic relationships when other couples, where female partners are non-feminists.

The participants of the survey were asked such questions as:

How often do you and your partner laugh together?How often do you and your partner quarrel? How often do you and your partner consider terminating the relationship? Do you think your relationship has a good future?

The study, published in the journal Sex Roles this week, confuted the stereotype that all feminists are ugly, unattractive lesbians, USA Today says.

It was found out that many men and women have rather negative view of feminists. Men consider them to be unattractive, whereas women are sure that feminism is the movement of victims or women who do not manage to find a reliable partner for a good family.

The researchers found that female college students dating guys who respect female rights have more stable relationships, than those who date men with another point of view. Young couples where both partners have positive view of feminism reported having stable relationships, mutual understanding and support.

More adult women said that sex with men who had positive view of feminism was much more satisfactory than with other men. Also they reported to have more stable relationships with such men.

Adult men said that sex with feminists was more enjoyable, and relationships with feminists were more stable.
