Chocolate is better than sex

If choosing between chocolate and sex, most women in Britain would rather eat chocolate as pleasure guarantee, a new survey says.

The survey conducted by confectionery Cadbury asked 1500 British men and women about their preferences for chocolate in comparison to sex. Surprisingly, women said they think that chocolate is better as it provides unbeaten pleasure. Many women say that chocolate is far better than sex as it never disappoints.

Otherwise, when men were asked the same question, 87 percent of them preferred sex to sweetness of the chocolate.

After the scandal with salmonella scare last year, where British confectionery company had to withdraw a million chocolate bars, Cadbury decided to support a study conducted at the University of Wales. The research found that chocolate and endorphine- a chemical that elevates the mood and contribute to the feeling of pleasure are linked.

Paul Hebblethwaite, the company's global science director, said that chocolate is preferred not only due to its endorphin producing effect. The sensuality of the chocolate bar melting in the mouth gives such a pleasure to all the senses, like smell and taste.

However, not all the women across Great Britain are willing to give the first place to chocolate. Thus, 79 percent of Londoners preferred sex to chocolate while those who live in the eastern part of England have preferences for chocolate.
