Cleaning

Most bondage items can be cleaned properly with the use of soap and warm water. Cleaning your toys after each usage will preserve them for a long life-span and prevent from STD's infection as it comes in contact with mucous parts of the body, which easily gets infected. Cleaning rules depend on the type of material it made.

Leather bondage toys are very durable with proper care and cleaning. It would be better to use special leather cleaner, which helps to remove dirt with foam. Apply cleaner with a soft cloth and wipe it with a damp cloth afterwards until all dirty remainders will be out. A good non-toxic Leather conditioner is a good choice of agents that help to prevent dye's coming off. When leather is washed with cleaner, a leather conditioner is applied with a damped cloth or towel and left for some time to get absorbed.

Latex bondage toys are quite receptive to dust, sweat, and other body discharges. That's why a thorough cleaning and care is necessary to prolong your toy's or garment's life. Wash latex items in warm water with mild soap or sex toy cleaner.

Rough scrubbing should be avoided as it can damage rubber latex. We would recommend wiping latex with a slightly damp cloth. Rinse it in clear water afterwards.

In general metal is very resistant to all cleaning manipulation. You can boil and use bleach solution for stainless steel.

If you use porous materials, like cyberskin, jelly or any other- warm water and mild soap will be the universal tip.

Dryness

Always dry your bondage toys completely. You may use a soft towel for removing extra water after cleaning and let them dry in a place with air circulation. Do not put your garments or toys near heat or in a dryer, as it can damage your items.

Storage

Good storage of bondage items presupposes that you keep you toys in a cool and dry place, away from the direct sunlight, where no dust and dirt can influence them. It's better to store bondage toys separately, using soft cloth for wrapping. A closet or a cupboard will be one of the most appropriate places.

Safety tips

If you share your garments and toys, be sure to clean them in order to protect you and your partner from infection. If you come in close contact with genitals and other mucous parts, remember to use condom and lubricant, which shouldn't be oil-based. When you use garments from latex, it would be good to apply some talc or cornstarch inside the items to ease their slip while putting on and wearing.
